Antonia Palmer

Antonia entered the world of cancer in 2009 when her two year old son was diagnosed with stage IV neuroblastoma. Ever since then, the quest has been on to learn as much as possible about this disease.

Antonia also co-founded the group Advocacy for Canadian Childhood Oncology Research Network, Ac2orn.  She volunteers for INBRACED (previously the NB Globe Website), is the Educational Coordinator for the NANT Parent Advisory Council (New Approaches to Neuroblastoma Therapy) and also writes chapters for the CNCF Neuroblastoma Parent Handbook.  She volunteers for a number of other cancer related organizations in Canada.

Antonia holds a masters degree in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo. She has worked in various technology and design roles in the areas of commerce, public broadcasting, and private consulting. She has also worked a number of years as an Online Learning Consultant at the University of Waterloo – working with professors to create on-line courses, specifically with the Masters of Public Health program. Antonia lives in Ontario, Canada with her husband Aaron and three beautiful boys, Nate, Alex and Jonathan. Along with spending way too much time on the computer, she tries to fit in a long-distance run when possible and is a great lover of music.

A blog is kept for Nathaniel on the carepages website.

An online blog is kept for Maya to follow her journey through battling neuroblastoma.
